Per Angela Crawford from Facilities:
Cummins will be doing a transfer switch test prior to the start of the academic year. This is to make sure that we have good transitions from city power to generator and back should there be an outage. You should notice two short blips in service as the power transfers between the sources. These are the dates scheduled for our buildings:
Mudd: 8/16/23
Science Center: 8/18/23
AMAM: 8/21/23
Conservatory: 8/22/23
Angela says there is no specified time for each, but Cummins will begin in the morning. It may be prudent to take the extra precaution of making sure your files are backed up at all times during those days just in case.
