Sierra Upgrade During Fall Break
Hi Everyone,
I’m requesting a Sierra version update for the week of Fall Break, October 15–19, 2023. The update should occur between 12am and 3am on the day of maintenance. I will post the final date and time after the vendor confirms the request and a reminder closer to the maintenance period.
All Sierra and OBIS functions will be unavailable during the update.
I’ve posted Release Notes and Known Issues for the previous few versions for your review, if you’re interested. We will be moving from Version 5.4 to Version 6.0.

Upcoming Generator Testing
Hi all,
Per Angela Crawford from Facilities:
Cummins will be doing a transfer switch test prior to the start of the academic year. This is to make sure that we have good transitions from city power to generator and back should there be an outage. You should notice two short blips in service as the power transfers between the sources. These are the dates scheduled for our buildings:
Mudd: 8/16/23
Science Center: 8/18/23
AMAM: 8/21/23
Conservatory: 8/22/23
Angela says there is no specified time for each, but Cummins will begin in the morning. It may be prudent to take the extra precaution of making sure your files are backed up at all times during those days just in case.

Azariah’s will be closed Aug 18-28 for repair of the cork flooring…subject to change, so stay tuned.
Red Elevator Maintenance

The red elevator will be down tomorrow (6/16) from 8:15 AM to about 10:00 AM for testing. The green elevator was already subject to this testing this morning.

Access to the elevators – are you experiencing problems?
